For some time I had been messing around writing songs. I wanted to see what it was like to record in a real recording studio. So I lassoed some musician friends and one day in July 2023 we recorded 10 songs for an album called TROPICAL DAZE. To my surprise it received  good response.

First of all, my deepest gratitude and ALOHA goes out to musicians Paul Johnson, Anthony Kauka Stanley, Marc Burroughs, David Babcock, Taylin Rae, Rhys Jones, Keni Yarbro. Adrian Ahern and his Dylan's Steel Band…and all the unnamed session musicians who have brought my songs to life.  Last and certainly not least, the owner of Pacific Beat Recorders and engineer Alan Sanderson who brings it all together. AND a big shout out in heaven to my good friend Ernie Cruz, Jr. for having some of my songs translated into the Hawaiian language.

What I have found is I rather write songs than perform them. I work to create lyrics for a story or subject that pops into my head. Then I sit down with my trusty ukulele and figure out a chord pattern and melody. I record a demo then wrangle up musicians who come into the studio and bring life and substance to what I wrote. That, to me, is an incredibly satisfying experience. 

I really just want to share my music with friends, family  and anyone else who comes along.
